Another NEW track ! → myspace.com

Hey there,

Here I am again !
The weather was rather melancholic today. As it was pouring outside and the wind kept pounding against the walls and on the rooftops… I decided to record a song that kind of matched the melancholic though upset weather conditions. It’s an intimate, cosy song.

The song’s called: “Things Happen”.
For a while it was titled: “Salome’s song”. I actually wrote it for a (swiss) friend of mine: Salome. A while ago she and I were talking. She was telling me how she barely slept at night and how she lost a lot of weight in a few days due to the separation from her best friend. Her story touched me. I immediately picked up my guitar and wrote a song about missing someone so dearly. The song was written from the perspective she’s in. I approached it that way to try and show her my take on it. “What if I was in her shoes…” you know?
My feeling powerless to console her inspired me as well to finish this song.

To end in a quote I once picked up somewhere (tell me if you know who it’s from, please):
“I write sad songs, but singing them makes me happy.”
I hope that works for the people listening to them as well. If you can relate to a song, you know you’re not alone.

Hope you like it!
See you soon,
B.

NEW SONG ONLINE ! → myspace.com

Finally some new audio online !

The song is an ode to the night and talks about the combination of ‘fear’ and ‘change’ being a sort of… destructive mechanism. I really try to embrace the fragile character of the night and fight off the prejudice about the night being dangerous and all. If you look closer it’s just people driven by the aforementioned combination of ‘fear’ and ‘change’ causing an upsetting image that we’re all led to believe.

There’s a lot more to come ! And this time the wait won’t be so long. I’ve got a whole lot of material ready to unleash upon all of you !

Enjoy!
B.
