Almost spring. That doesn’t mean only our surroundings will come to life again, but it’s also an indication for us to start revitalizing and collect amounts of energy in our longing for summer.
To close the winter chapter, I’ve decided to upload a cover I did. The original song: “Worn Me Down” is from one of my favorite female artists: Rachael Yamagata. Certainly check her music out and try to find all of the versions of this song. They’re worth it.
This song had a huge impact on me. I’ll save you the story but if you really listen to the lyrics you can piece the bigger picture together. I know “Worn Me Down” is a bit melancholic but it’s just one of those songs which lends itself to shine different lights on it. Somehow it’s happy and sad, both at the same time. It falls down but is able to pick itself up and recognise the beauty and importance of the fall.
Okay and granted… I’ve been kind of negligent in updating the blog so this is also my peace offering to you.
Hope you can enjoy it.
